This is the third brand, LRS Studio, which we have been asked to research into for ur summative brief. This brand has recently had a lot of buzz in New York, since it has been developed by a new designer in the city. The brand presents fabulous design which is incredible to look at, but not very practical to wear. I think that LRS is extremely unique and in some ways very avant garde. It experiments with different materials to make artistic clothing, Raul Solis (the designer) wanted to expand his portfolio in order to make it more diverse- however his designs eventually made it into the label because of how unique and interesting they are.
The brand was initially inspired by the Darkside, 1980's club kids. This was particularly reflected in the SS17 collection which presents a range of clothes inspired by acid trips and it girls. The main campaign for this collection shows models in awkward, statuesque poses as a reflection of the trippy style the campaign strived for. (Shown below):

Raul Solis' inspiration came from youth culture, the club scene and crazy wild kids. He says that he aims his clothes at these people because they are the type of people would wear this style, considering it as the typical way to dress without thinking its occasional dressing. LRS also takes its inspiration for art, creating something that is eye catching- from a slight gesture to the way someone is holding a prop.
Surprisingly LRS isn't too pricy, from tops and t-shirts starting from around £195, its a similar price to Fiorucci. It's consumer wouldn't be afraid to invest into fashion and present their style in an artistic and unusual way. They wouldn't care what people thought of them and wouldn't follow traditional fashion norms such as practical pieces from Topshop.
My opinion on this brand is that it is very eye-catching and from the offset you just want to know about the brand and what the designs are inspired by. These crazy designs reflect a playful nature which is unlike anything you see on the highstreet. It is something you would wear if you were properly into creative fashion and influences from art.
