The Royal Wedding

Despite the Royal Wedding being given a lot of abuse about its media coverage and constantly on the news and in everyones radar, i was 100% eager to get up yesterday morning and switch on my telly to watch Meghan and Harry's royal wedding!

I was mesmerised by everything about it, from Meghan's dress, St Georges Chapel, the Horse and Carriage ride, the incredible decorations and of course the moment the royal couple were pronounced husband and wife... and lets not forget their first kiss on the stairs!!

I usually wouldn't indulge myself into the royal life, however it is such a huge event of 2018 and the fact that Meghan Markle, an actress, is becoming the Duchess of Sussex. The thing that i paid most attention to was the dress created for the special day which was Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. Clare has an extremely timely and elegant aesthetic which is the look the Meghan needed for her special day. I also thought it was really great how she opted for something cheaper than previously picked by past royals in order for her to give more money to the homeless people of Sussex.

Critics of the wedding gown called it "too simple" and "boring" but the designer disclosed all the work behind the dress, which made sure Meghan looked immaculate as she stepped out of her car.. i think that the dress was very flattering and elegant, however Katy Perry joked that Kate looked better in her dress and Meghan could have chosen a more fitting style.

Overall i think that the ceremony was incredible, you could see how in love the royal couple are and i think it was truly special to see that on their huge day! Congratulations Harry and Meghan xo
