Isosceles Lingerie

Isosceles Lingerie is another brand that we have been asked to explore for the summative brief. Isosceles Lingerie sells typical lingerie garments such as bras, panties, suspenders, etc. However they provide the function of being both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. They believe in creating underwear that works past seduction, providing both a sense of freedom and self expression.

What I firstly noticed about the brand was their bright colours, i think that the brand is eye-catching from the offset and throughout, with initial thoughts of 80's neon art deco and fashion. These colours convey positivity and creativity which is something that i learnt from the formative brief and our own perfume brand that we created being inspired by the 80's and 90's. Isosceles says "Colour is essential in embodying our ethos so we use bold bright colour combinations to convey strength and positivity".

The brands insights come from the late 80's body con and Miami art deco- bright electric lights portrayed in their brands aesthetic. I think that this is very difficult to evoke references this bold, so the brand has done very well at this.

Isosceles Lingerie designs their underwear beyond seduction, their concept is to create underwear that is comfortable and suiting for all body shapes. Their designs often present triangles- developed from the 'isosceles'- and also their brand name. These shapes work together to suit the curves of the female form and to support the body without the need of uncomfortable underwires.

Their consumer is women who want to feel sexy yet comfortable in underwear- real women who wear underwear for themselves and want their underwear to be functional yet beautiful.

I really like this brand because i think it shows a geometry style with materials that look light and comfortable to wear. I like the way the underwear isn't tiny and how it wraps around your body for support. It is practical and beautiful because of the carefully crafted designs and striking colour palette.
