I have been looking into brands which provide an in store experience involving fragrances. I was told about this incredible experience held at the Ritz-Carlton fragrances bar. The have a really interesting and innovative concept which is to concoct fragrance smells into tasty cocktails.
It works like this:
1. Pick a fragrance menu, where you will have the chance to smell the fragrances you are most inclined to. The mixologists will help you out by asking questions as to what sort of smells you like the most. There are also images of the potential cocktails that the fragrance will transform into.
2. Once you've picked your favourite scents and hand them over to the mixologist who will transform that smell into a cocktail. They do this by combining all the ingredients matched up to the fragrance, intriguing your smell and taste senses.
3. Drink up! You can also have the opportunity to purchase any of the fragrances at the end of your experience.
What i absolutely love about this is that its not been done before, you can indulge all of your senses to provide an unrivalled sensory experience. I think it is majorly unique and is very personal to the consumer.. it makes their time individual and special.
I was really inspired by this concept of having a sensory experience, however i think this is aimed at a very mature target market and considering its in the Ritz also a very high priced experience- perhaps something for someone who likes to invest in experiences over materialistic items. I think that by the aesthetics of the store concept you can tell it would be for a wealthier, upper class audience, a bar where you can put on your nicest frock or shirt and immerse yourself upon your surroundings.
I would like an experience like this maybe aimed at my generation... millennials, more street wear style and something that is affordable yet still unforgettable.
