I AM IN LOVEEEE, with this new campaign. Ive been meaning to write about it since it was first released. I love that our generation and 2018 is celebrating diversity so amazingly, and what better way to have 6 beautiful children as the faces of the new River Island campaign. The high street brand teamed up with anti bullying charity 'Ditch the label', marking its 30th anniversary. They are working in joined forces to spread the message that "labels are for clothes, not kids!".
I think River Island have done really well in saying that they hope other brands follow in the brands footsteps, and people with disabilities are used as a normal thing throughout brands. I think its really important to celebrate diversity, and what a better way to do this by spreading the message to our future generations that everyone is beautiful and equal.
“We hope that other brands will follow the example set by River Island and ensure that their campaigns are more representative of our diverse society. We want disability diversity to become the norm in advertising and are working very hard to make this happen.”
River Island have really out done themselves with this one, i think that it is amazing that they have given the opportunity to disabled or disadvantaged models to be in this amazing opportunity. I believe that they have sent our an incredible message and i can't wait to see what the brand pulls out of the bag next.
