In the early hours of Saturday morning i was unable to sleep, so i found myself clicking back and forth between snap chat, twitter, instagram etc. I received the strangest snapchat from a friend who was visiting California. It was a video of a strange, bullet like silhouette traveling through the sky. In the centre was a strange rotating light and from the back was a trail of bright, lit up smoke. My immediate thoughts was aliens! My friend and I were discussing the possibilities of what we thought it could be, maybe a missile, a UFO, something high up in space? The possibilities were endless at this point.
My insomniac self took to twitter to discover what it was and to see if anyone else knew what it was as well! Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenners bestie, posted a video of the strange alien like shape saying 'What did I just witness?' At this point i was a little bit scared, considering things that have been happening involving Korea and America etc- so i really needed to find out what it was before i could finally drift off to sleep.
Not long after global news network 'TicToc by Bloomberg' tweeted 'We have liftoff! #SpaceX launches the Falcon 9 rocket, its 18th mission of 2017, in California'. I was relieved that it was a rocket that had left an amazing, fascinating trail. It looked incredible and breathtaking- something I'm glad i was up to be one of the first to witness.
