Since its coming up to the holidays and brands are starting to bring out their traditional Xmas adverts, I thought TIS the season to talk about my favourite brand and their take on Christmas 2017. Mulberry have recently launched their most recent advertisement, and it is a major improvement on last years two part xmas ad (which was by all means, a disaster). The campaign video in my eyes is actually very traditional and beautifully reflects their British heritage.
'My True Love Gave To Me' titles their latest, charming, gift giving Christmas campaign. It goes through the Twelve Days of Christmas song presenting the different gifts that are given on each day. These gifts are replaced by Mulberry's bags, small leather goods and accessories- for example 'a partridge in a pear tree' is swapped for a mulberry bayswater in a pear tree. I think the advert is cleaver and original and perfectly presents modern heritage and britishness.
For anyone that doesn't know Mulberry, it is a British brand founded by Roger Saul in 1971. The brand has, in recent years, hired a new creative directer- Johnny Coca (Below). The brand is known for their Modern Heritage, British Manufacturing and their luxury leather goods. One of their most famous pieces is the Bayswater, an iconic and timeless handbag which everyone wants to have on their arm.

This advertisement brings Mulberry to life and defiantly makes me want to add the new Christmas collection on my list to Santa. Everything to the quirkiness of the models and the smiles they show ear to ear, to the choice of music. This advert is made fresh, with a fabulous spin on the song.
The song itself, 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' is just a perfect fit and goes hand in hand with Mulberry British nature. The song is known for celebrating the Nativity of Jesus and celebrates the christmas spirit.
Whats your intake on Mulberry's Christmas Campaign, has Johnny Coca pulled it out of the bag? Or the stocking? All jokes aside, let me know! Get in contact with me on my blog or email- fishingforfashionn@gmail.com. Can't wait to hear from you, thanks for reading!
